A number of people wondered why the forum was down for 10 day. Posted in 9 March 2004

Thanks for all the emails asking where it had gone and why there was a password on the forum.

Thereby hangs a long tail - One agent was very upset because of what people were saying about them and used a very anti-free speech law to force the forum off. The comments have been removed - The password is just till it was all legally checked - I've just been asking them to get a move on as a staggering 10,000+ people have tried to visit the Forum while it has been down and quite a number have written to me.

I had planned to move you all onto new forums and have now done this today. It should be in place - for example:

http://www.writersservices.com/for/disc_advice_toc.htm

as soon as the password is removed.

If there are any old threads you want me to pick up, I'll try and do so next week but they will be temporarily invisible - apologies for the discontinuity.

Don't let any of this cramp your style - But just remember I have to pay the bill! 'Publish and be dammed' as the Duke of Wellington famously said. But just remember that some people don't have a sense of humour or perspective is what I say.
